CROODS

CROODS   A transition of Cave people into traveller View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mamta Gupta (she/her) (@maggu_3050) I like how new and exciting every thing is... The Croods take the audience with it towards exploring the surroundings. Crood means behavior of a being because of safety and satisfaction. Eep, is a character who defies this law and each day before sunset finds for a new meaning of her existence. When once she wanders at night, she happens to discover fire! And Guy... Her response to fire is so real. This story is a wonderful creation. And making it into a CGI movie is like giving electricity to the Cavemen.

SHREK

SHREK View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mamta Gupta (she/her) (@maggu_3050) 'You are beautiful' said Shrek to the ugly princess Fiona....(closing the fairy tale book) 😌😌😌 This is a very beautiful lesson of life that is imparted so intricately into humankind. This animation is taking the audience to feel themselves in the swamp of the ogre! The donkey is a character that resembles one less acknowledged friend in real life. This fairytale was a little different, instead of a handsome prince an ogre rescues the princess. And Yes, the princess is ugly sometimes. And they fall in love. The curse isn't physical but sewn into the mind deep. It breaks when the princess and ogre, true lovers kiss each other. The beast that guards the princess away too helps them get together. This isn't a regular fairy tale. Enjoy with popcorns 😌😌

Reader's Galore   Book Recommendations for all seasons I always wondered if I had someone to guide me through the books to read. How much time I would have saved? How easily would I have discovered which soups I want to swim through?  Sometimes reading something off your genre is fascinating.  Sometimes you want to stick in the good old days.  Sometimes you wish to be unsure about what comes next.  Sometimes you desperately want things to happen. Fun reading begins when you start arguing with the author. You disagree on certain elements. Or can't take the death of your beloved character. The author might not have put put enough reasons to believe in a particular sequence in the series of the story. Sometimes you are happy with them.  Sometimes you want to sit and tutor the author on how the character you have understood should behave.  These are the perks of reading. JOKER

JOKER  View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mamta Gupta (she/her) (@maggu_3050) At first I thought Why watch something so sad? But the story line is weaved in a self consoling manner. It is a very intelligent storyline. It pleads for sympathy at first than it gradually builds the Joker's character as powerful as the city. A conclusionless ending to Arthur's life is a very modern dilemma that recent filmmakers adopt. The actor has deviated his soul and physique to the film. He has left no stone unturned for becoming Flick. I truly admire the brilliant cinematography of the film Once again i would say I want to pity this man, also I don't want to pity. @joaquinphoenixofflcial

THE LUNCHBOX

THE LUNCHBOX View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mamta Gupta (she/her) (@maggu_3050) An Irfan Khan master piece Reminds me of Mumbai. A hope arises in the lives of a common worker and a common housewife. Due a random error in address of the dabba. The hustle-bustle, the feeling is so real - an excellent Direction of Photography. I won't give much spoiler. The dialogue writing and the storyline are so philosophical yet so simple. A must watch film to understand human emotions. I remove one star for my own discomfort. I didn't wanted to be exposed with so much reality. I know there isn't a happy ending always. But I think I am accustomed to the age old way of film making where it offers some hope than the bitter truth.

SOUL Movie

SOUL 2020 View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mamta Gupta (she/her) (@maggu_3050) Me and animation films have a thing... After watching Soul I went like Awww...... πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί This movie has very cute and detailed graphics, bringing life and beauty into reality. Complicated life meanings are beautifully brought out through this film. Finding the spark, or last element for the 'earth pass' is so thrilling.

The Croods: A New Age

The Croods: A New Age View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mamta Gupta (she/her) (@maggu_3050) The Croods: A New Age doesn't disappoint its viewers. The Bettermans enter the picture. This is a satire to the modern world where we adapt to a new technology and than are at the mercy of it. The second half of the movie is as exciting as the first half. A thin string of Eep and Guy's love story is slightly twined throughout. As the thunder sisters are born the adventure takes off. Ba-na-nah... Is such an amazing concept in the film that it wiggles us till the very end. Full marks for continuity. Full marks for colors and Adventure....
