I feel Ria is a selfish person who did not knew what she was seeking for. Twice she leaves Madhav because of her folly lies. She takes her decisions fast & acts like a naive. Madhav is the sufferer all the time. The story is exaggerated to such a level that readers crave for Madhav and Ria to be together. The writer does not disheartens the readers though.
This is a love story of exaggeration, dramatization, playing with the readers emotions. The writer has a magic of visualization through his writings.

This Love story purely runs on the decisions Ria took. it has been revolving around Patna, Delhi, US and NY as well. As the prince of his village Madhav Jha works for the betterment of the village school. The act if giving to the society with love is deeply brought out in Half Girlfriend by Chetan Bhagat.

Why should you read Half Girlfriend?

- It gives a new concept of relationship
- Shows craziest of love
- Has been made to a film
- Madhav's fears are very similar to our thoughts in real life. Hence it is relatable.
